The Snelling Lecture
Since 2006 the congregation has sponsored an annual Snelling Lecture by a distinguished speaker on topical issues of interest to the wider community. It is so named to honour the memory of Mrs Irene Snelling, whose legacy on her death in 2004 enables much of our community outreach.
Past speakers have included the cleric and broadcaster Rev Richard Coles, Baroness Shirley Williams, Sir Simon Jenkins, Baroness Julia Neuberger, Baroness Joan Bakewell, Falklands War veteran Simon Weston and BBC presenter George Alagiah. Recent lectures were given by David Olosuga, Dame Sara Khan, Fergal Keane and Revd John Bell last year.
WE ARE PLANNING THE SNELLING LECTURE FOR 2025 - details will appear here as soon as they are known.
