Oxted United Reformed Church

The Church of the Peace of God

Charitable Support

We seek to be an outward-looking and caring church. Every month we have an extra offering plate after our communion service in aid of a specific charity.

In recent times the congregation has responded generously to international disaster appeals such as in Afghanistan, Yemen and in Bangladesh/Myanmar. We support local charities such as the Befriending Scheme run by Tandridge Voluntary Action.

Over the Christmas period we have focused our efforts in recent years on helping those living on the streets by raising thousands of pounds for CRISIS, the UK national charity for homeless people.

We also support One World Group Oxted, which directly funds defined development projects, mainly in Africa.  All of the supported projects encourage self-help and sustainability. All have a personal contact and provide regular feedback reports and accounts.
