Baptisms
We practise believer's (adult) baptism or infant baptism or dedication. Baptisms and dedications normally take place during Sunday morning service. Some parents choose dedication for their child, which looks forward to baptism at a time of the child’s own choosing. The Church Secretary or Lay Preacher will be pleased to discuss baptism or dedication with parents. The minister will also be pleased to respond to adults young and old who are not baptised and seek baptism for themselves.
Weddings
We are licensed to conduct marriage ceremonies on our premises - we normally expect at least one of the couple to have a connection with the church. We also offer blessings of marriage. Please contact the Church Secretary for more information. We are not at present licensed to conduct same-sex marriages on our premises.
Funerals and Services of Thanksgiving
Through funeral services and services of thanksgiving the church offers support for those individuals and families faced with the loss of a loved one. Contact the Church Secretary or the Lay Preacher for further information.
- We also offer pastoral support for those going through the long-term changes that bereavement brings. Whilst this can be one-to one by arrangement, most find comfort and help by joining the Oxted Bereavement Support Group that we host in the concourse on alternate Thursdays - click here for more information.
